Pumpkin Picking

This Sunday after our breakfast of eggs benedict with avocado, tomato and spinach we headed to the Leeward side to Alhona Farms.  We were pleasantly surprised to park at a multiple field pumpkin patch.  We have not been to a pumpkin patch this plentiful since Missouri 2005.  There were about 6 fields, a banana forest, hay rides, bouncers, pony rides, costumed people and fresh veggies.  It was also 86 degrees.

We already bought a giant pumpkin October 1 at the Waialua Farmer's Market.  We searched the fields for the perfect middle size pumpkin for me and baby pumpkin for baby Kai.  We achieved success on our endeavour and only spent $6 on pumpkins.

We did learn for next year to go early and wear close toe shoes.  It was hot and dusty.

In pinball related news, Victor purchased his 6th pinball.  He claims it is only to fix and sell but our garage still has 6 pinball machines in it.
