Shark Diving

Crusing out to sea

Sharks!

the cage

What a morning!  Nicole and I arose early and left the house at 6:15 leaving Kai with his Pa.  We arrived at Haleiwa Boat Harbor and boarded our vessel for a 3 mile trip out to sea where we would climb into a cage to view sharks.  On our way out to sea we watched Humpback Whales frolic in the ocean.  We arrived at our spot and immediately Galapagos sharks swam to the surface.  They were joined by tiger sharks.  When we entered the cage, the sharks swam around, they were close enough to touch, but we refrained.  When you went underwater you could hear the humpback whales singing.  Once we adjusted to breathing through our snorkel, we enjoyed the sharks.  On our way back to the boat harbor, we passed by a pod of 80 spinner dolphins swimming in pairs.  They were incredibly playful and jumped and swam around the boat.
