Red Eye

Kai and I took the direct red eye to Newark.  It is a 10 hour flight and we were fortunate to have an empty seat next to us.  Kai slept for all but an hour of the flight.  He made friends with all the children while waiting to take off.  Everyone was so helpful to us.

Our flight back was a full flight and 11 hours long.  Thankfully we sat amongst 40 Chinese students who had taken a seminar a Harvard business school and they loved Kai.  All of them.  After the flight attendant held Kai they were all ready for their turn.  Kai played with their ipads and hit them on the head.  They loved it.  One of them shook his rattle for an hour.  The only bump in the road was when the flight attendant took Kai and then turbulence occurred.  Really bad turbulence.  She did not return with Kai for 20 minutes.  All I could think of was the Jodie Foster movie where they steal her child.  Finally she returned even with the turbulence.  Kai was in good spirits and had pooped.

My dad came and picked us up at the airport and to long island we went.
